Lives within the tropical forests of Western Africa. Feeds on little vertebrates and large aquatic invertebrates. It is a reasonably terrestrial species and displays terrestrial looking, especially at nighttime.They may be the only real crocodile species indigenous for the US, mainly observed in southern Florida and at times sighted in Louisiana an
